First Capital Financial Group also works with private equity and Leveraged Buyout(LBO) funds where a financial sponsor acquires a controlling interest in a company's equity and where a significant percentage of the purchase price is financed through leverage (borrowing). The assets of the acquired company are used as collateral for the borrowed capital, sometimes with assets of the acquiring company. Bonds or other paper are issued for these leveraged buyouts.   These engagements are often focused on assessing the strategic positioning of a specific company, determining the attractiveness of a market, or improving operations of an existing portfolio of companies to increase growth and profitability.
